I am very pleased to announce that the Women's Center and the Office of Residence Life are launching a gender neutral housing pilot program for the 2009-2010 school year!
Housing will be located in 4 suites in Laural Hall, which will accommodate 16 people. Participants must commit to maintaining an inclusive and welcoming living environment free of discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation. Participants must also agree to take part in assessment of the pilot program by participating in occasional focus groups and surveys. The results of the pilot program will determine whether and in what capacity gender neutral housing will be offered in the future to meet the needs of Ramapo College students.
Students who would like to apply for the pilot program must fill out a Gender Neutral Housing Application from the Office of Residence Life. The application time line is as follows:
- February 13th: Applications will be made available in Office of Residence Life
- February 26th: Applications are due to the Office of Residence Life by 5:00 pm
- March 2-3rd: Selected applicants will be notified
- March 4-6th: Selected Applicants complete step one of the Housing Selection Process as individuals.
